Blue Smoke is an Infatuation favorite, and has been since we lived in the neighborhood a few years back and visited nearly every week. Not only does the food at Blue Smoke still stand up to every other BBQ joint in town, but it also has a great bar, which touts their very own house beer and an amazing selection of whisky, scotch, and bourbon. Whatever your company, come with hungry people and don’t plan a big night after…this isn’t light eating. And not only is the BBQ great, but don’t miss the appetizers or the ridiculously good deserts.
Food Rundown:
Devilled Eggs with Toasted Almonds and Watercress
My mother makes an amazing deviled egg, so I am tough to please when it comes to other people’s versions. This one may be better. Sorry mom.
Chipotle Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Dip
A very good BBQ chicken wing, the sauce on these is smoky and sweet.
Macaroni and Cheese
This is my number one mac and cheese in NYC. None of that bread crumb nonsense, no bacon, just smooth and creamy macaroni and cheese that is really, really good.
Blue Smoke Burger with Fries
This is a pretty good burger, though I recommend going for some BBQ instead. There is some char on the meat, which gives it a good flavor, and the fries are nice and crispy.
Pulled Pork Platter with Pit Beans, Slaw and Homemade White Bread
My favorite thing on the menu, this is some ridiculous pulled pork. The platter is enormous … what seems like half a pig piled on top of white bread. If you are here for lunch, this comes as an amazing pulled pork sandwich.
Applewood-Smoked Organic Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Crispy Onions
If you or someone you are with aren’t the red meat or pork eating type, this is a great option and is delicious.
