This week’s Friday Five brings us our first personality from the world of reality television. Although we’ve never actually seen Bravo’s Kell On Earth, we’re told it’s about a miserable chain smoking fashion publicist with four cats and (shocker) no boyfriend.
People loathe the star of the show Kelly Cutone, but her assistant, Andrew Mukamal, has become a hugely popular character among loyal viewers. With his bizarre Addams Family meets Kurt Cobain style, deep voice and “I just don’t give a fuck” attitude, Mukamal has endeared himself to the American public and is suddenly a budding fashion industry icon. We back anyone with enough confidence to rock a cape to work everyday. Check out Andrew on twitter and read below for five of his go-to restaurants in NYC.
Andrew Mukamal’s “Perfect For” Picks
Quick Eats
La Esquina (106 Kenmare St.) – “Slathered in butter and cheese, this is hands down the best corn on the cob in the city. ”
Classic NYC Establishment
Peter Luger’s Steakhouse (178 Broadway, Williamsburg)- “As if I need to explain this one.”
Cheap Eats
Rai Rai Ken (214 E. 10th St.) – “Nothing beats a bowl of steaming ramen on a cold New York night. (BONUS-pull an Elaine Benes by using their buy-10-get-one-free stamp card)”
Chronic Brunch
Perry St. (176 Perry St.) – “Unreal 3 course lunch prix fixe, 7 days a week! Killer presentation, decor and quality.”
Neighborhood Hang
Lucky Strike (59 Grand St.) – “Conveniently located across the street from our office, they actually serve quality French bistro fare. Spectacular fries and deadly sidecars (consider yourself warned).”
Andrew’s Twitter People

@styedotcom – The go-to spot for year round fashion coverage. Enough said.
@vogueparislive – The home of Vogue Paris and Vogue Homme International (my two favorite publications). Follow the Vogue Paris team for the chicest tweets, straight from the city of lights. Oh and did I mention Carine Roitfeld, Vogue Paris’ Editor in Chief, tweets straight from the runway during fashion weeks? MAJOR
@barneysny – Barney’s is my home away from home. Always need to stay up to date on the newest arrivals and events at their Madison Ave flagship.
@showstudio – Photographer Nick Knight is pioneering the use of new technology in the fashion industry and is always releasing incredible video editorials and streaming live from his most recent shoots. Beyond addictive.
