The food at Turkey Leg Ball was awesome. We all ate like kings thanks to the Union Square Events culinary team – newly minted executive chef John Karangis and pastry chef Dan Keehner. We’re not sure what our favorite dish was, as we thoroughly enjoyed everything. However, watching people take down John’s massive smoked Turkey Legs was fun, and both the Buttermilk Biscuit with Thick-Cut Bacon and the Housemade Vegetable Burger with Rosemary Aioli were incredible. Being a master of sweets, Dan obviously knows how to please a woman. As one lovely female emailed the next day “who makes those gingerbread & ricotta doughnuts? They were the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” Don’t get too excited, he’s married. Maybe you were lucky enough to catch him at Wilfie & Nell pre-nuptials though? More on that after the jump.
Check out a special Friday Fives double dip below – “Perfect For” picks from both John (left) and Dan (right).
