Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights

We figured you’re probably getting sick of all the reading we’re making you do, and since
we’re not quite ready to make the switch to audiobooks, here we are with the first of what will
be many installments of original video content.

Welcome to Infatuation TV.

That’s right. Stang & Steinthal in moving pictures on your computer.

Char No. 4 and Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights

The Set Up

Here’s the deal. Char No. 4 is one of Brooklyn’s best restaurants. It’s all about bourbon, smoked
meats, barbecue, and feeling good. Read our full review here.

Chef Matt Greco is Texas born, and we thought we would introduce him to Dallas’ own Jonathan Tyler
& The Northern Lights and see how the food at Char No. 4 stacks up to what you might find in
the Lone Star State.

The Band

Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights are a bad-ass rock outfit from Dallas, complete with tattoos,
mutton chops and hairy chests like you’ve never seen before. This isn’t your little sister’s
favorite new band…yet. This is the shit your Budweiser drinkin’ Uncle Charlie can rock out to
while cranking up the BBQ in the backyard. They fill a necessary void in today’s music scene and
provide a swift answer to the question “what happened to rock ‘n roll?” Guess what. It’s back.

JT&NL play dirty, reckless, guitar driven rock with hints of blues and soul, reminiscent of The
Black Crowes, Kings of Leon and early Rolling Stones. Their debut album Pardon Me comes out April
27th on F-Stop/Atlantic Records, and they’ll be performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 31st.
The band is constantly on the road and will be representing at SXSW and Bonnaroo 2010. For more
information and a full list of upcoming tour dates, check out their website.
