Eleven Madison Park
11 Madison Ave., Gramercy, NYFancy though it may be, Eleven Madison Park is surprisingly lively, and the room wide open and airy – definitely not typical of a place serving this kind of food. But make no mistake, this is fine dining at its most serious.

Gramercy Tavern
42 E. 20th St, Flatiron, NYThe experience of a once-in-a-lifetime show and an epic meal can be equally enjoyable. Both can be an incredible party; one in Jordan’s and a T-Shirt, the other tucked in with black shoes on. Although they induce different emotions, both can be incredibly satisfying. In the same week, I hit one of Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium [...]

A Voce
41 Madison Ave., Gramercy, NYA Voce is definitely Italian fine dining, it will definitely hit you hard in the wallet, and it’s definitely full of suits from the New York Life building next door, but no matter – the food coming out of this kitchen is amazing.

Maialino
2 Lexington Ave., Gramercy, NYAbout a year and a half ago, we wrote up a less than glowing review of Danny Meyer’s then brand new Roman trattoria, Maialino. We had high expectations due to Meyer’s flawless record, but flaws were found, and verdict was levied accordingly. Steinthal actually compared the place to every great band’s worst album. Ouch. BLT Prime
111 E 22nd St., Gramercy, NYThis is not your grandfather’s steakhouse. The crowd is buzzing with return customers, most of them young, lower Manhattan types wearing jeans and button downs who prefer BLT Prime’s modern take on the steakhouse to the more traditional spots uptown.

Why then, are we giving so much love to a restaurant serving only raw food? Because while we may not be vegetarians, we are devoted hedonists, and Pure Food and Wine is all about pleasure.

Casa Mono
52 Irving Place, Gramercy, NYMario Batali’s Spanish tapas haven. This is one of those rare places that, if you sample a lot of things, enjoy a bottle of wine or three, and listen to what your waiter suggests, you will have a complete and satisfying dining experience.

Ciano
45 E. 22nd Street, Flatiron, NYPark Ave in the 20′s – home to many an upscale eatery, tailor made for the older set and prime real estate for Dinner With The Parents or Special Occasion dining. Ciano, Chef Shea Gallante’s new farm-to-table Italian restaurant, is dancing to a similar beat as the likes of Osteria Morini, Maialino and A Voce. [...]

ABC Kitchen
35 East 18th Street, Flatiron, NYJean-Georges kills it. We know this. The dude is one of the most inventive and creative chefs that’s ever lived. The locavore/farm to table movement that has recently taken hold of the New York dining scene is nothing new to J.G. – he’s been quietly playing that game for decades. That’s why it’s no surprise [...]

L’Express
249 Park Ave. S, Gramercy, NYL’Express is an Infatuation MVP – a staple in the repertoire that is good for just about everything from casual dinner with friends, to business lunch, to drinks and crossing your fingers on a first date. But we especially love this 24 hour French brasserie for the New York City menagerie that it becomes at three in the morning.
