Restaurants Perfect For Fine Dining

our suggestions

  1. Brooklyn Fare
    9.1

    Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare

200 Schermerhorn St., Boerum Hill, NY

We are full time experiencers. Our job, as we see it, is to go out into the world, eat things, and give you some kind of relatable and slightly entertaining opinion of such experiences. All with absolutely no expertise, credentials, or any other legitimate reason for you to listen to us – other than the [...]

  2. Eleven Madison Park
    9.0

    Eleven Madison Park

    11 Madison Ave., Gramercy, NY

Fancy though it may be, Eleven Madison Park is surprisingly lively, and the room wide open and airy – definitely not typical of a place serving this kind of food. But make no mistake, this is fine dining at its most serious.

  3. Gramercy Tavern
    9.0

    Gramercy Tavern

    42 E. 20th St, Flatiron, NY

The experience of a once-in-a-lifetime show and an epic meal can be equally enjoyable. Both can be an incredible party; one in Jordan’s and a T-Shirt, the other tucked in with black shoes on. Although they induce different emotions, both can be incredibly satisfying. In the same week, I hit one of Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium [...]

  4. Babbo
    8.9

    Babbo

110 Waverly Place, Greenwich Village, NY

Of all the Batali restaurants, Babbo is the one most aligned with the Infatuation ideals for good eating. Del Posto, Lupa, Otto and Eataly have a tendency to be filled with faux-New Yorkers, which Stang covered in depth in the Lupa review. Babbo (and Casa Mono) are where the real motherf*ckers are at. When we [...]

  5. Mas
    8.8

    Mas (farmhouse)

39 Downing St., West Village, NY

One of our go-to destinations for Fine Dining in NYC. Mas is incredible.

  6. Marea
    8.8

    Marea

240 Central Park S, Columbus Circle, NY

Marea definitely needs some good Infatuation press…they haven’t gotten much love lately. Makes you wonder if people around these parts have even heard of it. I mean, it’s only been awarded Best New Restaurant in America by the James Beard Foundation. While we haven’t yet logged enough hours on the road to make that kind [...]

  7. Bar Boulud
    8.7

    Bar Boulud

1900 Broadway #2, New York, NY

Bar Boulud is Daniel Boulud’s “casual bistro”, but by Infatuation standards this is a fancy restaurant. It’s an older crowd, but a seemingly loose one as the restaurant feels upbeat and lively. As for the food, you’ll find a long list of pates and terrines, but otherwise, it’s a pretty straightforward bistro.

  8. North Fork Table & Inn
    8.7

    North Fork Table & Inn

57225 Main Road, Long Island, NY

Every once in a while, we New Yorkers are overcome with the urge to get the eff outta dodge. The truth is, to operate on a high level here, you need to vacate the premises from time to time, and get out to a place where you own more than an inch of personal space. [...]

  9. Sons & Daughters
    8.6

    Sons & Daughters

708 Bush Street, San Francisco, CA

There’s a lot of exciting cooking happening on the West Coast right now. Some of the best and most talked about action comes from kitchens occupied by bad ass duos of a new generation of chefs. Chefs who also happen to be fellas. Fellas who are young, have little regard for the rules, and are [...]

  10. Casa Mono
    8.5

    Casa Mono

    52 Irving Place, Gramercy, NY

Mario Batali’s Spanish tapas haven. This is one of those rare places that, if you sample a lot of things, enjoy a bottle of wine or three, and listen to what your waiter suggests, you will have a complete and satisfying dining experience.
