Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare
200 Schermerhorn St., Boerum Hill, NYWe are full time experiencers. Our job, as we see it, is to go out into the world, eat things, and give you some kind of relatable and slightly entertaining opinion of such experiences. All with absolutely no expertise, credentials, or any other legitimate reason for you to listen to us – other than the [...]

Eleven Madison Park
11 Madison Ave., Gramercy, NYFancy though it may be, Eleven Madison Park is surprisingly lively, and the room wide open and airy – definitely not typical of a place serving this kind of food. But make no mistake, this is fine dining at its most serious.

Gramercy Tavern
42 E. 20th St, Flatiron, NYThe experience of a once-in-a-lifetime show and an epic meal can be equally enjoyable. Both can be an incredible party; one in Jordan’s and a T-Shirt, the other tucked in with black shoes on. Although they induce different emotions, both can be incredibly satisfying. In the same week, I hit one of Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium [...]

Babbo
110 Waverly Place, Greenwich Village, NYOf all the Batali restaurants, Babbo is the one most aligned with the Infatuation ideals for good eating. Del Posto, Lupa, Otto and Eataly have a tendency to be filled with faux-New Yorkers, which Stang covered in depth in the Lupa review. Babbo (and Casa Mono) are where the real motherf*ckers are at. When we [...]

Marea
240 Central Park S, Columbus Circle, NYMarea definitely needs some good Infatuation press…they haven’t gotten much love lately. Makes you wonder if people around these parts have even heard of it. I mean, it’s only been awarded Best New Restaurant in America by the James Beard Foundation. While we haven’t yet logged enough hours on the road to make that kind [...]

Bar Boulud
1900 Broadway #2, New York, NYBar Boulud is Daniel Boulud’s “casual bistro”, but by Infatuation standards this is a fancy restaurant. It’s an older crowd, but a seemingly loose one as the restaurant feels upbeat and lively. As for the food, you’ll find a long list of pates and terrines, but otherwise, it’s a pretty straightforward bistro.

Casa Mono
52 Irving Place, Gramercy, NYMario Batali’s Spanish tapas haven. This is one of those rare places that, if you sample a lot of things, enjoy a bottle of wine or three, and listen to what your waiter suggests, you will have a complete and satisfying dining experience.

Dovetail
103 W 77th St., Upper West Side, NYIt’s rare that we actually venture up to the Upper West Side to eat out. Those treks north are usually reserved for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, chocolate chip cookies (we love Levain Bakery and Jacques Torres), and takeout essentials from Artie’s Delicatessen or Fairway. Thanks to Dovetail, there’s now another reason to make the trip.

Annisa
13 Barrow Street, West Village, NYAnnisa isn’t your typical Infatuation style restaurant. It’s a little stuffy. The crowd is on the older side and the atmosphere is not exactly exciting. Also, there is way too much same side seating going on – couples on the same side of the table is always questionable in our book. Doesn’t matter. These standard [...]
