Restaurants Near Beacon Theatre

our suggestions

  1. Bar Boulud
    8.7

    Bar Boulud

1900 Broadway #2, New York, NY

Bar Boulud is Daniel Boulud’s “casual bistro”, but by Infatuation standards this is a fancy restaurant. It’s an older crowd, but a seemingly loose one as the restaurant feels upbeat and lively. As for the food, you’ll find a long list of pates and terrines, but otherwise, it’s a pretty straightforward bistro.

  2. Dovetail
    8.5

    Dovetail

103 W 77th St., Upper West Side, NY

It’s rare that we actually venture up to the Upper West Side to eat out. Those treks north are usually reserved for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, chocolate chip cookies (we love Levain Bakery and Jacques Torres), and takeout essentials from Artie’s Delicatessen or Fairway. Thanks to Dovetail, there’s now another reason to make the trip.

  3. Kefi
    7.9

    Kefi

505 Columbus Ave., Upper West Side, NY

Kefi made the jump from tiny successful neighborhood restaurant to bigger successful neighborhood restaurant about two years ago. The original incarnation pre-dates this website (as does anything that’s had a second birthday), and we decided a visit to the Columbus Ave. location would do both you and us some good. We were pleased to find [...]

    Barney Greengrass

541 Amsterdam Ave, Upper West Side, NY

You want to know something kind of embarrassing? I’m a Jew who grew up just outside of the city and not once had I ever eaten at Barney Greengrass until last week. Alec Baldwin & Richard Blais would be so disappointed. Over the years, I’ve definitely gotten a taste of their infamous sturgeon and smoked [...]

  5. Ouest
    7.6

    Ouest

2315 Broadway, Upper West Side, NY

A fixture on the Upper West Side for the last twenty years, Ouest is a clubhouse for the 65 and up crowd. Think Cabin Down Below, but for old timers. There’s also a sense of community around here. My guess is that all the gentleman ponied up to the bar come here often and know [...]

  6. Mikes Bistro
    6.6

    Mike’s Bistro

228 W 72nd St., Upper West Side, NY

Mike’s Bistro is a big deal in the world of kosher restaurants. Although its appearance might suggest differently, this is a popular special occasion spot, especially with the younger generation. The food is good, even though the decor isn’t.

  7. Citrus Bar & Grill
    5.0

    Citrus Bar & Grill

320 Amsterdam Ave, Upper West Side, NY

Huge, loud and cheesy, Citrus is the perfect representation of everything that’s wrong with restaurants in this area.
