Restaurants Near Terminal 5

our suggestions

  1. Marea
    8.8

    Marea

240 Central Park S, Columbus Circle, NY

Marea definitely needs some good Infatuation press…they haven’t gotten much love lately. Makes you wonder if people around these parts have even heard of it. I mean, it’s only been awarded Best New Restaurant in America by the James Beard Foundation. While we haven’t yet logged enough hours on the road to make that kind [...]

  2. Danji
    8.2

    Danji

    346 W. 52 St., Hell's Kitchen, NY

Hell’s Kitchen is hot right now. It’s no longer home only to endless Thai joints and 9th Avenue establishments that glow neon colors in the dark. There’s a very legitimate restaurant scene developing here. As we’ve ventured further into Authentic Ethnic Eats lately, it’s become clear that we’re real down with Korean food. I know, [...]

  3. Yakitori Totto
    8.0

    Yakitori Totto

    251 W. 55th St. 2nd Floor, Midtown, NY

First things first – if you are walking into a restaurant on the ground floor, you are NOT walking into Yakitori Totto. Yakitori Totto is on the second floor. We nearly made that mistake, but the guy in the street level Japanese restaurant looked so surprised to see customers, we figured something was up. Head [...]

  4. Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill
    7.8

Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill

    308 W. 58th St., Columbus Circle, NY

Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill is kind of a ridiculous concept on paper – a Frankenstein fusion of Blue Ribbon Brasserie and Blue Ribbon Sushi in a Thompson Hotel lobby. We’re huge fans of the Blue Ribbon brand, especially the brasserie and sushi outposts. We’re not huge fans of Midtown, especially Midtown hotel restaurants. [...]

  5. Totto Ramen
    7.8

    Totto Ramen

    366 W. 52nd St., Hell's Kitchen, NY

Somewhere in between the porky excessiveness of Ippudo and the basic, hangover curing magic of Rai Rai Ken lies a bowl of Totto Ramen. This Japanese noodle outpost opened back in June, and we’re not sure that there has ever been a more welcomed addition to the Midtown food scene. After a few weeks of [...]

  6. Taboon
    7.7

    Taboon

    773 10th Ave., Hell's Kitchen, NY

We’ve got a handful of spots that we like in Hell’s Kitchen, and there are definitely a few that we still need to hit up. But right now, Taboon is at the top of our list in the ‘hood. That says a lot for the food, considering the restaurant itself lacks most qualities of a [...]

  7. A Voce Columbus
    7.5

    A Voce Columbus

10 Columbus Circle - 3rd Floor, Columbus Circle, NY

This A Voce just isn’t quite on the same level as the original. That sick view of Central Park doesn’t make up for the fact that the service is less impressive and the food doesn’t come out of the kitchen with the same gusto. That said, we’re still talking about a high quality restaurant here, and overall, we like it.

  8. Tehuitzingo Deli Grocery
    7.3

    Tehuitzingo Deli Grocery

    695 10th Ave., Hell's Kitchen, NY

We freak out over tacos. They’re constantly on the brain, and our quest to uncover tasty tacos around this city is never ending. In some other parts of the country, taco trucks and carts decorate street corners like Starbucks do here. In NYC, you have to dig a little harder. So when we come up [...]

  9. Bocca Di Bacco
    7.2

    Bocca di Bacco

    828 9th Ave., Hell's Kitchen, NY

Midtown wine bars are pretty high up there on the list of places you won’t find us hanging out. Read away for the many reasons why. But thanks to good food and a good crowd, Bocca Di Bacco is the exception.

  10. Interior photography of Ardesia Wine Bar, NYC
    7.0

    Ardesia

    510 W. 52nd St., New York, NY

Ardesia is first and foremost a wine bar, and a good one at that. The food is decent, but it’s secondary to what they do best, which is selecting excellent “mineral-driven” wines from all over the world.
